Double Decker
This time, I have to design certain houseware for the brand Breville, and I chose to design a kettle for them.
The main selling point for my kettle is that it will be able to boil water and infuse tea at the same time fast. Thus it is called 'Double Decker.'
I tried to accommodate their styles with my own aesthetics, all while it is all functional.
Analysis
Each kettle is slightly different than the others, but their trends and features can be summarized in a list:
• Supports different types of tea (Chinese, Japanese, Western tea)
• Multiple sizes of tea baskets
• Touch screen control
• Minimal boiling pad and controls
• Alarming system for when boiling water’s
prepared
• Interchangeable kettle for one control pad
Design
As much as I wanted to save space while designing the kettle, the mechanism would not allow me to, therefore stacking them and letting it be controlled by a panel is the only way to go.
