Candle Holder Series

This project follows the notion of 'Function follows form,' which is the opposite of what designers usually do. I made a collection of three candle holders that perform similar but different functions. With their similar elegant design , it will appear to whoever buys it as someone who grows up to be mature and refined.

Since I had to obey the 'Function follows form' rule, I had to create some shapes in general and decide what intrigued me the most. Through sculpting and sketching, I was able to narrow down my choices and come to develop the form to something I could make functional. Later on I was able to hammer down to create a collection of candle holders out of it. With some more CAD, and there comes the glass candle holders you see above.
